About the Dodge Charger
Representing an entirely new breed of speed, one of the most iconic and recognizable American muscle cars of all time has made its triumphant return to the market after a short absence. Today’s reimagined Dodge Charger is now more stylish, more powerful, and packed with more attitude than at any point in its storied history. Now available in your choice of both two-door coupe and four-door sedan variants, the Charger proudly sports aggressive widebody styling that also features functional aerodynamics to keep it planted at high speed. Whether you opt for the conventional gasoline powertrain or you’re interested in the thrilling all-electric variant – the Charger has something for every kind of motoring enthusiast. Essential for any true driver’s car, all essential controls and switchgear are oriented directly within arm’s reach of the driver. Cutting-edge tech features like the optional PowerShot supplemental power boost and the Drive eXperience Recorder help prove this certainly isn’t your father’s muscle car! Staying true to its heritage while providing a sneak peak into the next generation of American muscle – the Dodge Charger remains synonymous with performance and passion.
What the Critics Say
“Surely the purists won’t complain about the Charger’s high-class interior, maybe the best we’ve seen from a Dodge in … well, come to think of it, ever. We love the way the ambient lighting reflects into the gray carbon-fiber-pattern trim that surrounds the dashboard, enhancing the floating-dash effect. The screens are laid out sensibly and within easy reach, the transmission shifter is a neat new interpretation of the classic Mopar pistol grip, and the squared-off steering wheel is a nifty callback to the “squircles” Chrysler used in the 1960s.” – MotorTrend
“On the twisties, the Dodge feels lighter and smaller than it is. I felt the shift of the car’s mass when I was threading between cones during my drifting lesson, but the raw power camouflages that weight in the corners. The contact patch on the Goodyear Eagle Sport All-Season tires on my test car flattened out nicely to support the car as it poured its bulk from one side to the other.” – The Drive
What’s New for 2026
Several minor tweaks have been made to the exhilarating Dodge Charger model lineup for 2026. For the new model year, last year’s base R/T trim level has been dropped from the range. In addition, gas-powered Charger models and four-door sedans are now available across the country. Rounding out the list of updates, you’ll find some differences in the feature content between the individual trim levels due to some shuffling.
Dodge Charger Features
Next-Generation Performance
From the interstate to twisting mountain passes, the iconic Dodge Charger is built for speed with both electric and gasoline options. Craving zero-emission thrills? Its cutting-edge 400V Propulsion System with dual 250-kW Electric Drive Modules (EDM) and standard all-wheel drive delivers maximum control. Collectively, these EV powertrains are rated between 420 horsepower for base trims up to 670 horsepower for Scat Pack models. Additionally, a track-tested 3.0L Twin Turbo SIXPACK High-Output (HO) engine and 8-speed automatic transmission are offered for those who crave the iconic muscle of a traditional gasoline-powered drivetrain. Speaking of muscle, the Charger has the ability to reach 60 MPH from a dead stop in a blistering 3.3 seconds on its way to a remarkable 11.5-second estimated quarter mile time. Other notable performance equipment includes a world-first Fratzonic Chambered Exhaust that emits a tangible and audible rumble, unlike any other performance vehicle on the market today. There’s even an innovative R-Wing front aero passthrough that channels air through the front fascia and lowers front lift by up to 30% and reduces drag by up to 3%.
Driver-Focused Interior
A driver-focused cabin is yet another signature characteristic of any true muscle car like the Dodge Charger, helping to keep the driver at the center of attention. Starting with upholstery options, the Charger features standard cloth/leatherette fabric along with available choices like heated Black Nappa leather and Demonic Red Nappa leather seats. You’ll even have access to best-in-class cargo space! Providing a tasteful complement to the interior design is standard Attitude Adjustment ambient interior lighting, offered in 64 individual colors. Optional on all trims is an impressive 18-speaker, 914-watt Alpine system with subwoofer as well. Essential for high-speed maneuvers, the Charger also features a tech-forward steering wheel that offers a heated flat top/flat bottom design, paddle shifters to manage regenerative braking, and a PowerShot button. There’s also a legendary “pistol-grip” shifter reminiscent of Charger models of the past along with a stylish start/power button located close by.
Innovative Technology
Since brains are equally as important as brawn when it comes to a muscle car, the Dodge Charger uses clever tech features to help you get the most out of every mile. Access to key drive information is simplified thanks to your choice of a standard 10.25-inch unit along with an optional 16-inch upgrade. Both screens offer navigation-based layouts, customizable menu structures, and crisp graphics. In the center of the dashboard is where you’ll find its standard 12.3-inch central touchscreen with the proven Uconnect 5 infotainment system, wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, and Dodge Connected Services. Electric Charger models also feature a forward-thinking Navigator Charging Location feature that provides enhanced route guidance and charging solutions. Drivers can also access Performance Pages to monitor key vehicle performance metrics using the award-winning Uconnect 5 system.
